While furniture making is my passion, making boxes from scraps has always been a satisfying diversion. Pieces with gnarly knots that would be hard to use in a table or cabinet can be spectacular as a box lid. A couple of years ago I began experimenting with Leather-Hinged boxes, first for my drafting tools. Folks liked them, and after some prodding I was convinced to start producing more of them.
Every so often I scrounge around my scrap bins make another batch. I’ve branched out and experimented with new sizes, and since they come from scraps, no two are alike. I have no interest in being an internet retailer, so I sell them at local craft events, and often have a few on hand. Contact me if you’re interested.
