Styled with a nod to mid-century stereo cabinets, built from recycled steel and plywood, this is a vinyl-centric entertainment console for the modern age. I started with an extensive study of 50's & 60's consoles, and played with ideas of how to do a contemporary rendition in metal and wood. The final result features an aesthetically pleasing contrast between the patina the metal shows and the period-inspired stain used on the plywood.
Includes record partitions, hinged top panels, a now-playing rack to reduce living room sleeve clutter, and a hidden rear compartment for cables, adapters, etc.
