The X Table is a sculptural furniture concept I started experimenting with in 2015, centered on the idea of legs that cross over to meet the floor at the edges, instead of the corners. I like the way the industrial look of the diamond plate steel interacts with the slabs of richly colored wood.
This was the prototype project for the series, and is made out of much lighter metal than the larger versions, requiring extra bracing. The top is assembled out of some scrap wood I had around.

Let's talk! - Check out my Materials page for examples of the various materials and finishes I work with.
